Many thanks to Amy who was a commenter on the post about the Hank Williams ‘Last Ride’ movie being filmed in Benton Arkansas.
Amy has sent me some photos of the film shoot with some great pictures of the star Henry Thomas dressed as Hank Williams.
Here’s a third photo of Henry:
Finally Jesse James who plays Charles Carr and the Caddy.
Thanks so much Amy. I’m sure people really appreciate being able to see these pictures and get a preview of what the movie will look like.
I can’t believe I actually managed to get these imported. I’m a computer klutz, and this is a first!!
To whom it may concern:
If these pictures and comments are the real thing from the upcoming movie, my suggestion is to scrap it all and start over. The star playing Hank doesn’t look like Hank. He’s to heavy. Hank never wore a tie like that nor boots that color. The Cadillac should be a convertible and Jesse James as Charles Carr? At best , I hope it’s in Charles’ current age which is around 76. Please not another George Hamilton movie of Hank !!!
John:
Apologies for the forthcoming plug, but I couldn’t find your email address.
You might enjoy my writeup of “Just Walkin’ in the Rain,” a doo wop classic by The Prisonaires. Hank would have absolutely nailed it; it’s too bad he wasn’t around to cover this one. The blog entry is here:

Thanks K
I also think a lot of readers here would like your discussion of Elvis’ ‘I Can’t Help Falling in Love’. A lot of writers are dismissive and like to take cheap shots at Elvis’ later work, but your post was understanding and insightful.
