I am sure I speak for Hank fans around the world who read this blog that we all appreciate the efforts made by the people in Hank’s home State, County, Town and in Montgomery to preserve and enhance his memory. We may not be there in person, but when we see coverage of the yearly Hank Williams festival in Georgiana Alabama, we say well done.
The festival runs this weekend May 31/June 1 with Jett Williams, Brad Magness, Gene Watson, and the great Stonewall Jackson, and a link to the Hank Williams era, David Frizzell. among many others.
Performances run Friday evening and Saturday. The event is sponsored by the Hank Williams Boyhood Home and Museum in Georgiana and includes an outdoor arts and crafts show.
